About The Position

The Repair Operator is a key member of the Operations team. Repair Operators support modular and cell repair on the production floor. They play an important role in waste reduction and are required to have fine motor skills, soldering ability, and good attention to detail. They work to ensure there is continuous 24/7 production to assemble Photovoltaic Modules in a clean, fast-paced modern manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • No experience necessary, on-the-job training provided, preference given to those who demonstrate technical capabilities and have manufacturing experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of understanding and following oral and written instructions
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Maintain production and quality standards
  • Ability to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires standing for long periods of time
  • Self-motivated
  • Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening required
  • This position is identified as a Safety Sensitive Position
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion tasks for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to tolerate an assembly line environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Preference given to those with Soldering Experience
  • Computer experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of Operators.
  • Maintain a clean safe work environment, including keeping the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Repair solar modules while following the quality criteria for the current production order.
  • Keep track of raw material scrap.
  • Solder repair to be performed on solar cells, utilizing a soldering iron.
  • Handle cells and strings carefully using proper techniques.
  • Perform quality and testing procedures based on a set criterion at every stage of the production line.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
  • Follow all health and safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
