About The Position

In-House Service/Repair Mgmt: Directs the coordination of technical and administrative support activities for an established company repair site(s) or service center. Manages individuals performing repair, preventative maintenance and service, and engineering change upgrades for products. Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained. Schedules personnel responding to critical situations. Maintains communication with design management and specialists in resolving technical problems and/or bringing problems to the design department’s attention. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Survey Tip: Incumbents who supervise employees who perform repairs and service at client sites or both client sites and company service sites should be matched to Field Service/Support Mgmt (2822-2826). Requirements

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 -5 years of experience.
  • In-depth product manufacturing comprehension including rationales.
  • Solid working knowledge of regulations (ISO, OSHA, employee relations, etc.).
  • Advanced working knowledge of manufacturing systems.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing costs and influences.
  • Manages through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and staffing.
  • Typically manages 2 or more direct reports.
  • Has experience with HIGH product THROUGPUT environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Semiconductor or Circuit board manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Typically manages a single department and/or shift.
  • Manage the ongoing ISO compliant and cost-effective manufacture of specific products or sub-products.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Plans and administers procedures.
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices/policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers.
  • May interact with senior management.
  • Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other divisions or customers and the company.
  • Assists the Test Engineering Manager to coordinate the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and staffing.
