About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization at Sherwood Lumber’s Prime Distribution Center.

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Oversees all equipment repairs and site maintenance activities.
Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling and assignments of the equipment and facilities.
Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities including but not limited to forklifts, warehouse, trucks and yard maintenance.
Ensures assigned equipment and facilities are ready for regular business and special events.
Manages site maintenance including snow removal, utilities, site aggregate, and building-related issues.
Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment.
Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.
Maintains the inventory, storage and distribution of equipment.
Maintains repair log for all equipment and facilities.
Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
Performs repairs and maintenance within budget.
Assists in coaching new hires during the on-boarding process.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
