About The Position

The Repair Finisher at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of components, documenting and testing inspection results, and ensuring compliance with repair specifications and quality standards. This role involves operating mechanical production machines, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with maintenance technicians to address repair issues. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in auto body repair or grinding with power tools.
• 1 year of experience in the manufacturing field.
• Experience with fiberglass and resin repair.
• Ability to work in protective gear including suit, mask, respirator, and gloves.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately count and record material data.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted regularly.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and kneel for 8 or more hours a day.
• Availability for overtime, including up to 12-hour days and on off days.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and record all required data.
• Interpret results of inspections and recommend appropriate actions based on specifications.
• Document and test required inspections of components.
• Operate mechanical production machines to manufacture parts according to engineering specifications.
• Set up and operate production machines in a broad environment.
• Organize and use machine-related tools and equipment relevant to production.
• Plan and lay out work, preparing components or semi-products and monitoring related hand-stock.
• Process components or semi-products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Perform basic machine-related CNC/SPS programming if required.
• Assist maintenance technicians and external service providers with repair issues.
