Operator must be proficient in removing /installing aged components, on one of a kind hardware, in densely populated areas without damaging lands or pads. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following, but are not limited to) Rework critical, high value, one of a kind circuit cards while adhering to mil-standard applications, where the basic assembly processes require judgment and experience. The process is further complicated by having many delicate adjacent parts at the end of their life cycle in close proximity with the area being reworked. When disturbed these often obsolete parts must be reworked using extreme caution and to very rigid quality demands. Able to use a microscope to soldering rework for extended periods. Skilled at soldering and board rework (surface mount and thru-hole technology) of fine pitch devices. Dexterity, steady hand to manipulate and position extremely small devices The operator will be required to exercise continual mental-visual concentration, understand board geometry as it applies to the application of heat and considerable responsibility. Duties include, but are not limited to, removing of conformal coat, soldering/desoldering, cleaning, bonding of surface mount and plated through components on various substrates, maintaining the work area, minor ident, and verification of assembly/wire through simple test/measurement and inspection procedures. Additional duties include completion of extensive paperwork and/or computer entry of data to maintain detailed configuration records, and control of various special and standard tools required for all related operations. Read, interpret, and work to; drawings, schematics, wiring lists and diagrams, work instructions, quality tracking forms, and government documents such as SPALT or OD’s. Standardization is limited, requiring interpretation of planning and instructions of considerable scope in a rework/ repair environment
