About The Position
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for performing all functions of production line product inspection, loading and offloading product on and off carts in proper configuration, inspect product to check for defects, and repair said defects. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to read and interpret material specifications and apply the appropriate criteria for inspection of product. Must understand the standard metric measuring system and how to use the appropriate quality tools for proper inspection of product to quality standards. Must be able to efficiently identify defects in product using visual, sense of touch, and quality tools. Will make sound determinations on severity of defects and decide whether to repair or scrap materials. Perform proper repair of product required to meet quality standards. Support production requirements to meet on-time delivery standards. Maintain a clean work environment. Follow all safety rules. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, twist, and reach.
- Must be able to push and pull carts of product, up to 225 pounds.
- Must be able to operate a palm sander.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace to keep up with production line demands.
- Must be able to grip and handle materials of varying sizes.
- Must have visual acuity to be able to identify potential defects.
- Must be available and willing to work overtime as needed.
