About The Position

This position reports directly to the Departmental Manager/Supervisor and is responsible for completing the admission and registration process, along with other admission finance functions. The role serves as a liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff members. It involves handling walk-in patients and incoming telephone calls from customers seeking assistance with matters related to patient accounting. The individual in this position must be knowledgeable about admitting, billing, and collection functions and should be capable of resolving any outstanding issues independently. Providing excellent customer service is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience preferred in a healthcare environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of insurance requirements preferred.
• Excellent decision-making skills and initiative.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and organize workflow.
• Ability to perform cashiering functions.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of PC in Windows environment.
• Typing skills of 25 wpm.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CHAA certification preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare/medical insurance environment.
