Requirements

  • One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school.
  • Two to four years of mechanical experience or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs with limited departmental supervision, taking on a higher level of responsibility for repairs.
  • Possess and utilize the necessary tooling required by the service department.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Disassemble and assemble machines/components as needed.
  • Recondition and repair equipment as required.
  • Work overtime as necessary based on workload and customer needs.
  • Select proper tooling for standard jobs and demonstrate proficiency with Cat diagnostic tools.
  • Perform diagnostics and organize appropriate repair procedures.
  • Complete required training sessions successfully.
  • Demonstrate safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures while following directions as given.
  • Build competencies and share skills with other technicians, retaining acquired knowledge.
  • Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Proactively manage personal development and training requirements for growth.
  • Stay current with the Cat product line.
  • Utilize resources from Cat and Quinn Company.
  • Promote Quinn Company core values of Relationship, Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, Quality, and Service.
  • Travel to other stores, customer sites, and dealer and Caterpillar facilities for work or training as required.
  • Work alternate shifts as needed based on workload and customer needs.
  • Work in the field as directed by manager or supervisor.
