About The Position

The Rental Service Manager will be responsible for the operational efficiency of the branch. The Rental Service Manager will provide our customers with well-maintained rental equipment and provide exceptional customer service. A key function is the scheduling and prioritizing of rental equipment repairs in a safe and timely manner, providing direction and oversight to the service team.

Requirements

  • Must have 3 - 5 years of Management experience.
  • Must have 5 years of industry experience.
  • PC skills required.
  • Must have a valid California Class C Drivers License.
  • Strong customer service experience for internal and external customers

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and direct all activities necessary to maintain a safe and efficient rental service operation.
  • Prioritizes machine repairs both in the yard and in the field.
  • Assists Rental Coordinators in recovering and repairing customer damage.
  • Manages operations to ensure productivity, customer service, and profitability.
  • Ensures that all work orders are opened and closed accurately and on time.
  • Oversees facility issues and resolves any problems, including cleanliness and efficiency of the entire yard.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Drives accountability, coaching and mentoring of personnel.
  • Oversees all safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, and drug and alcohol testing, when necessary.
  • Ensures the service team is compliant with all required training.
  • Codes and approves authorized accounts workflow payable invoices.
  • Interfaces with Branch Manager and Technical Communicator, to ensure all warranties are all recovered.
  • Interfaces and communicates effectively with customers regarding scheduled maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Manages Payroll for direct reports and WIP employees.
  • Collaborates with Branch Manager to implement changes streamline operations to ensure a more productive, effective, and efficient running branch
  • Assists with hands on training of technicians.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership team.
