About The Position

The Rental Inside Sales Representative is responsible for successfully providing excellent customer service and building effective relationships with current and prospective customers across the rental business structure.

Requirements

  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions.
  • Ability to work in group problem-solving situations.
  • Ability to manage difficult customer situations and respond promptly to needs.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in various situations; Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Demonstrated group presentation skills and willingness to participate in meetings.
  • Ability to set and achieve ambitious goals and demonstrate persistence.
  • Respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; promotes a harassment-free environment.
  • 1-5 years of Caterpillar or competitor sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in various forms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge.
  • Intermediate experience using CRM tools such as Saleslink, Salesforce, or other CRM software.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in Dodge & PEC data to produce leads for our rental sales reps.
  • Schedule appointments with customers and push to field reps.
  • Find contractors coming into the area from out of state for future dated jobs and set them up with accounts.
  • Use a call plan to solicit orders from regular and prospective customers via phone or internet.
  • Participate in call blitzes with reps in specific industries.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information and a call list in Monday.com CEM.
  • Maintain knowledge of all product lines and marketing programs for effective representation.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers to exceed expectations.
  • Enter new customer data and sales data into the computer database.
  • Assist in implementing marketing programs to increase customer awareness of products and services.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships within the Riggs organization and with clients.
  • Engage in continued education/training on equipment product lines offered by Riggs.
  • Attend trade shows to promote products and Riggs.
  • Assist in lead generation and qualification of leads.
  • Help manage social media and internet leads.
  • Maintain Caterpillar reporting systems with up-to-date sales lead information.
