Rental Host at Spring Valley Nature Center (part-time, $16.00/hour)
About The Position
The Schaumburg Park District is an award-winning public agency that provides its 80,000 residents with a wide variety of recreational facilities, programs, events, parks and open spaces. Spring Valley features 135 acres of prairie, woodlands and wetlands, three miles of walking trails and an 1880s living history farm. Our newest amenity is Bison’s Bluff Nature Playground, a unique play area custom designed to engage children in active and passive play in a natural setting. Our Rental Host team serves as the on-site contact during facility rentals, ensuring guests have a positive experience while following facility rules and maintaining a safe environment.
Requirements
- Applicants must have strong customer service skills and enjoy interacting with the public while providing friendly, professional experience for renters and guests.
- The position includes managing on-site responsibilities such as monitoring room setup and cleanliness.
- Applicants must be able to lift and move furniture for event setup and breakdown, respond to issues as they arise, and enforce facility rules in a professional and courteous manner.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Applicants must be 18+ years of age.
