Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years professional driving experience.
  • 3+ years administrative/clerical experience.
  • 3+ years customer service experience.
  • 1+ years working knowledge of construction equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License (for state of employment).
  • CDL Class A tanker certified driver's license.
  • Excellent driving record required (no DUIs, suspensions, or DOT violations).

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and deliver equipment at customer sites and other branch locations.
  • Maintain proper paperwork and ensure a professional appearance with all vehicles.
  • Provide basic operational instruction to customers on the safe operation of all equipment.
  • Complete and maintain daily truck log, including fuel and mileage reports, IFTA paperwork, and daily logs.
  • Accurately manage day-to-day use and reporting of company provided fuel card.
  • Report any unsafe conditions regarding the use of rented equipment.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean and meets professional standards, such as DOT inspections.
  • Seek ways to manage daily routine in the most effective and efficient manner.
  • Assist with the workload in other departments/branch areas when not busy with assigned tasks.
  • Meet the needs and requests of the customer in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work closely with Counter and Shop personnel to communicate relevant information regarding company equipment.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company and promote additional sales by explaining and suggesting other equipment and/or services.
  • Conduct daily post-trip vehicle inspections as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
  • Maintain vehicles to ensure safe conditions, including daily inspections of tires, lights, signals, glass, etc.
  • Ensure vehicle is ready for next-day business, including fuel fills and pre-loads.
  • Learn and understand equipment thoroughly to ensure safe operations.
  • Demonstrate to customers how to operate the equipment being delivered safely and effectively.
  • Inspect all equipment for damage at the time of pick up and document findings.
  • Understand and comply with DOT Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
