About The Position

The Rental/Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily dispatching of heavy construction equipment and technicians, ensuring efficient processing of rental orders and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role involves coordinating transportation, managing emergency field service demands, and ensuring safe loading and unloading of equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in equipment rental procedures and heavy equipment dispatch.
  • Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Positive and professional phone demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to safety.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.

  • Experience working in a rental equipment environment.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling mechanics and drivers by organizing the daily dispatch of all the equipment.
  • Opening and closing rental orders.
  • Coordinating transportation and field service demands for the equipment under normal and emergency situations.
  • Performing record keeping on all purchase orders and warranties on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
  • Maintaining customer relations via phone and fax, making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment location.
  • Arranging for all emergency field repairs.
  • Overseeing the loading and unloading of all equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
  • Working with the Service Team on scheduling and managing technician and driver overtime.
