Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization skills and strong ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to use computers and industry-specific software and online programs.
  • Knowledge of equipment weights and dimensions and the capabilities of our vehicles and equipment.
  • Control Precision
  • The ability to see details at a distance.
  • The ability to quickly respond to a signal when it appears.
  • One to three years driving experience and excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid DOT physical exam (or ability to obtain)
  • Clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming rental phone calls, greeting, and directing walk-in customers.
  • Consulting with rental customers to understand their needs and preferences while identifying solutions.
  • Confirming reservations for customer will-call and delivery orders, as well as call-offs.
  • Keeping records of transactions such as billing cycles for customers, logged pickups, calls for equipment and information on equipment.
  • Day-to-day administrative duties such as maintaining records, reports and files, and processing transfer.
  • Load and unload equipment onto vehicle which may involve operating a forklift, climbing ladders, walking on top of a vehicle, and moving equipment.
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for securing and transporting equipment.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspection ensuring that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Reconcile truck shipping and loading documents including DOT documents-logbook and pre-trip inspection sheets.
  • Communicate with customers and co-workers to ensure proper delivery of equipment.
