About The Position

This position is responsible for handling the rentals of lift trucks and other related material handling equipment. It involves managing customer calls and sales requests, coordinating paperwork for rentals, demos, and sales of equipment, and arranging hauling through central dispatch. The role also requires collaboration with the credit department for authorizations and with the rental utility/yard person for equipment check-out/in. Additionally, the coordinator will assist the Rental Manager with special projects, asset management, and inventories.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience with material handling equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have some computer and keyboard skills.
  • Must have a valid driver license and a clear DMV driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Take customer calls and sales requests for rental equipment.
  • Handle paperwork associated with the rental of equipment (coordinate shop work, delivery, computer generated agreements and invoicing).
  • Handle paperwork associated with the demo or sale of rental and/or used equipment.
  • Coordinator all rental, used, and demo hauling through central dispatch.
  • Work with credit department for customer credit authorizations.
  • Work with rental utility/yard person on check-out and check-in of equipment.
  • Work with Rental Manager on special projects, asset management and inventories including physical inventory for yard and shop areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
