Requirements

• A high school diploma or the equivalent plus completion of a maintenance vocational/technical school or a recognized apprenticeship program in general mechanical maintenance
• Significant mechanical maintenance experience beyond requirements, including competency in one of the mechanical trades
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in one of the mechanical trades; nine (9) or more years of experience is preferred
• Proven skills using electrical test equipment, and small hand and power tools, mechanical equipment and materials applicable to the mechanical trades
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
• Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

• ASHE MECH certification
• OSHA 10 certification

Responsibilities

• Monitors the performance of heating, cooling, and related systems
• Troubleshoots problems and makes adjustments, when necessary
• Performs routine carpentry work to complete renovations and unit turn-overs
• Repairs and performs preventive maintenance on electric bed and nurses' call
• Maintains boiler room and boiler related equipment and emergency generator and related equipment
