About The Position

The Renovation Specialist at Lakeshore Management Inc. is tasked with overseeing and executing all construction and renovation activities on inventory homes across a portfolio of communities. This role is crucial in ensuring that the community inventory is maintained in excellent physical condition and is financially stable, ready for sale. The Renovation Specialist will utilize technology to communicate objectives and report on progress, adhering to all applicable fair housing laws that govern real estate sales, leasing, and management maintenance services. This position is classified as safety-sensitive, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe working environment. Key responsibilities include the renovation of mobile homes, apartments, offices, and clubhouses, utilizing both hand and power tools for demolition and construction tasks. The specialist will follow detailed instructions and scopes of work, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Regular attendance at safety training events is required, and the specialist must uphold high standards for workplace safety. Collaboration with the Renovation Team Lead is essential to determine appropriate scopes and schedules for renovations. The specialist will also conduct inspections of all inventory homes within the region to assess readiness, identify necessary repairs, and create scopes of work with estimated costs. Communication is a vital aspect of this role, as the Renovation Specialist will need to analyze quotes and scopes for accuracy, submit them for approval, and follow up with vendors or team members to ensure timely scheduling and completion of work. The specialist will also be responsible for identifying areas of inventory needs and overseeing the completion of renovations. Regular physical examinations of the inventory and renovation work will be conducted, along with research into building materials to ensure the best quality and pricing. Weekly inventory reports, tasking, and purchase card reconciliations must be compiled in a timely manner, utilizing technology such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, or PCs to track and report on work orders, timesheets, and performance.
