About The Position

The Renovation Manager for Affordable Housing at BLDG Partners is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive renovation of apartment units across various markets. Requirements

• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including contractors and property management.

• Experience using Yardi, RealPage, SmartSheets, and Excel.
• Knowledge of local markets and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Track multiple concurrent renovation projects against budget and timelines.
• Spend 25-50% of time on-site for field work and project inspections.
• Collaborate with Asset Management to develop renovation scopes and specifications.
• Ensure quality assurance and accountability for all renovation work.
• Recommend and qualify contractors, negotiate terms, and prepare contracts.
• Inspect projects for progress, quality control, and cost management.
• Initiate coordination meetings with Asset Management and Property Management.
• Manage regulatory compliance and coordinate with city inspectors.
• Maintain organized records of project costs and forecasts.
• Provide regular updates on project status to property teams and management.
• Assist in developing scopes of work and budgets for new acquisitions.
• Schedule and supervise renovations to minimize unit downtime.
