The position involves various key job functions including plumbing, boiler maintenance, generator and diesel mechanics, electrical work, and general maintenance. The plumber must have a thorough knowledge of plumbing mechanics and layout, including gradient requirements and proper selection of valves, pressure reducers, and fittings. The boiler mechanic is responsible for all phases of boiler operation and maintenance, including the replacement of firebrick, liners, and diagnosis of ignition and fuel reactions. The generator/diesel mechanic must be knowledgeable about emergency generators, including diagnostics and mechanical repairs. The electrician should possess a thorough knowledge of industrial electricity and distribution systems, at the level of a journeyman electrician. The electronics mechanic is expected to have a thorough knowledge of electronic systems and equipment, including design layout and installation. The general mechanic III performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on utilities and equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure guest comfort. This role also includes inspecting utilities and equipment, renovating property, ordering parts, and assisting in training and supervising junior mechanics.
