About The Position

The position involves various key job functions including plumbing, boiler maintenance, generator and diesel mechanics, electrical work, and general maintenance. The plumber must have a thorough knowledge of plumbing mechanics and layout, including gradient requirements and proper selection of valves, pressure reducers, and fittings. The boiler mechanic is responsible for all phases of boiler operation and maintenance, including the replacement of firebrick, liners, and diagnosis of ignition and fuel reactions. The generator/diesel mechanic must be knowledgeable about emergency generators, including diagnostics and mechanical repairs. The electrician should possess a thorough knowledge of industrial electricity and distribution systems, at the level of a journeyman electrician. The electronics mechanic is expected to have a thorough knowledge of electronic systems and equipment, including design layout and installation. The general mechanic III performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on utilities and equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure guest comfort. This role also includes inspecting utilities and equipment, renovating property, ordering parts, and assisting in training and supervising junior mechanics.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in operation of one or more specific qualifications.
  • Literate and fluent in English.
  • Ability to retain information regarding tools, safety procedures, and building layouts.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate integrity in all situations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plumbing mechanics and layout including gradient requirements and proper selection of valves, pressure reducers, and fittings.
  • Conduct boiler operation and maintenance including replacement of firebrick and diagnosis of ignition and fuel reactions.
  • Maintain emergency generators and perform diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
  • Work with industrial electricity and distribution systems as a journeyman electrician.
  • Design, layout, and install electronic systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on utilities and equipment.
  • Inspect utilities and equipment for proper operation and safety.
  • Renovate, construct, or restore property interiors and exteriors.
  • Order and track parts to maintain proper inventory.
  • Assist in training and supervising Engineering Mechanics I and II.
  • Interpret plans, blueprints, and schematic drawings.
  • Observe all safety regulations during the performance of duties.
