We are seeking a Renewal Underwriter to join our growing team in Stockton, CA . Reviews insurance renewal applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance. Accepts or rejects applications by performing the following duties. How You Will Contribute Review renewal applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions. Determine renewal underwriting actions. Accept or decline risks based on own analysis of options. Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure. Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes. May train or supervise junior-level assistants. Verify complete and proper coding. Ensure compliance with Quality Control guidelines. Collaborate with Broker regarding unusual coverages. Maintain knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 3–5 years of industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. (preferred)
  • 220 License.(preferred)
  • Experience with excess and surplus lines underwriting agency or company a plus (preferred)
