About The Position

The Renewal Consultant plays a critical role in driving Warner Pacific’s growth strategy by strengthening group medical case retention across the Colorado market. This role focuses on identifying where medical case losses occur and developing strategies to keep business in‑house, while partnering closely with sales executives to address retention challenges within specific agencies. The specialist supports all group cases with twenty or more enrolled employees, leads a proactive renewal management process, and collaborates with contracted carriers and TPA partners to align shared retention goals and initiatives. This position reports directly to the Sales Director.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent; advanced education or degree preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid life/health insurance license.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Sales Medical/Health Insurance field/ Data Mining
  • Ability to self-start and think/act independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate consultative skills with internal and external partners.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication. Advanced presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act independently and to consider all available avenues to obtain desired results.

  • Ability to perform the majority of required work at the designated work location, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrates professional, friendly, and timely communication across phone, Outlook, Zoom, and Slack, ensuring effective engagement with internal and external partners.
  • Brings strong expertise in cross‑system data mining, extrapolation, and data visualization to support retention analysis and strategic decision‑making.
  • Possesses advanced proficiency with Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, and Salesforce to manage reporting, analysis, and renewal workflows.
  • Confident and effective in virtual meetings with sales teams, brokers, and carrier partners, maintaining a professional presence with cameras on.
  • Excels at diagnosing complex problems and developing innovative, strategic solutions to improve outcomes.
  • Maintains excellent time management skills and thrives in an environment that requires independent work and light supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze broker data, feedback, and behavior trends to identify and proactively address at‑risk accounts.
  • Gather input from Sales staff and management to validate data analysis and ensure alignment.
  • Ability to identify and maintain the most efficient process to reach required outcome.
  • Develop and implement targeted retention strategies and campaigns informed by customer feedback and churn analysis.
  • Establish and evaluate retention goals based on ongoing analysis and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to provide insights into customer needs and enhance the broker’s experience.
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on customer retention rates, churn trends, and feedback to Sales staff and leadership.
  • Conduct ongoing check‑in calls and communications with customers to ensure they are realizing full value from products and services.
  • Create, implement, and manage a proactive renewal management process for groups with 20+ enrolled employees.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute Renewal, Retention, and Stewardship reports for brokers and carriers.
  • Demonstrate consistent, outstanding judgment, honesty, and integrity in all aspects of job performance.
  • Create, update, and distribute Renewal/Retention/Stewardship reports for all stakeholders.
  • Develop and review monthly broker stewardship reports with Sales Executives prior to client delivery.
  • Prepare monthly carrier stewardship reports in collaboration with the Sales Director.
  • Create and maintain Warner Pacific’s internal block‑of‑business reports monthly with the Sales Director and RVP.
  • Engage proactively with Sales Executives on upcoming case renewals for all brokers, with emphasis on groups of 20+ enrolled employees.
  • Verify the accuracy of sold, lost, and retained business data across internal systems (e.g., Salesforce, GAIT) following each case renewal.
