Successful candidates for these positions will temporarily be located at a solar site within the region. Permanent work locations will be as follows: 1 incumbent at the Nova solar site in near Cocoa, FL, 1 incumbent at the Wewahotee solar site near Cocoa, FL, and 1 incumbent at the Bull Creek solar site near Cocoa, FL. Once these new solar sites are commissioned, incumbents will be transferred to their permanent work locations. Descriptions of Job Hierarchy Levels: First Level Employees at this level solve problems with general supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. They have knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures. Descriptions of Job Hierarchy Levels: Second Level Employees at this level solve more complex problems with some supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. Descriptions of Job Hierarchy Levels: Third Level Employees at this level manage work with minimal supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. They are fully competent in use of concepts and procedures. They identify problems, develop solutions and take actions to resolve. The Renewables Tech is primarily responsible for providing support to multiple PV plant sites located throughout Duke Energy Florida's service territory on a continual/on-demand basis, in order to troubleshoot/resolve equipment issues such as emergency repairs, design change requirements, and equipment modifications and to establish O&M support for new plant(s) start-up as well as long term operation and maintenance. Role will include work scheduling, maintenance, equipment installation, and start-up support. Position will also be responsible for supporting existing equipment performance and reliability, work to support equipment testing schedules and assigning contracts, technicians, and engineers to appropriate tasks while developing processes to improve O&M output quality.
