About The Position

TRC is seeking a highly motivated Renewables Project Manager (PM) for our growing Engineering, Construction - Remediation team in the Midwest. The PM can be based out of Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus, OH, Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor, MI, or Chicago, IL. The PM will provide support in two primary areas: project management and engineering support. This position would be part of a very skilled team that works closely with Account Managers and other technical leads providing technical support for renewable project development. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail, and a desire to be part of a growing and high performing team. This individual may work from varied locations in the mid-west or report to a TRC office in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • Strong capability to interact with team members and clients.
  • Minimum 5 years of renewable energy development experience in the mid-west region of the United States (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience of consulting experience on environmental projects, experience in renewables a plus.
  • Excellent attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and computer skills.
  • Must have a sense of urgency, be self-motivated, and can prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to manage time independently and to work effectively on a project team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management support on renewable projects including solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, battery storage, hydrogen and other technologies.
  • Manage projects, leading teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, coordinate project workflows, manage financial performance and contribute to reporting.
  • Develop proposals resulting in the award of new work.
  • Engage with internal and external service providers to develop scope, budget and schedule using platforms, tools and approaches approved by the Renewable Energy team.
  • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed personally, as well as projects and tasks managed by others.
  • Responsible for implementation of quality procedures at project and task levels.
  • Support the development of new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Participate in key trade organizations and in the marketplace.
  • Support project and account leadership to further align TRC resources on scope, pricing and schedule and to develop market-aligned benchmarks for renewables services with research and analysis.
