The Andersons, Inc. - Albion, Michigan This location, which opened in August 2006, is adjacent to The Andersons' grain elevator in Albion, Michigan. The Andersons manages the 140 million gallon dry mill fuel ethanol plant which requires 48 million bushels of corn to operate and produces 375,000 tons of distiller dried grains annually. Ethanol, E-85, corn oil and CO2 are available. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our grain logistics team. Position Summary This position is responsible for performing operations activities in the areas of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) loadout, inspection, and general operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Minimal job-related experience
• Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy
• Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

Nice To Haves

• Previous grain operations experience preferred
• Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection activities such as probing trucks
• Operate grain handling and receiving equipment; provide customer service to drivers and perform data entry of shipment details
• Monitor equipment and processes to identify issues; resolve or escalate issues when necessary
• Operate various types of mobile equipment
• Assist with the movement of railcars
• Perform general housekeeping activities
