The Andersons, Inc. - Albion, Michigan This location, which opened in August 2006, is adjacent to The Andersons' grain elevator in Albion, Michigan. The Andersons manages the 140 million gallon dry mill fuel ethanol plant which requires 48 million bushels of corn to operate and produces 375,000 tons of distiller dried grains annually. Ethanol, E-85, corn oil and CO2 are available. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our grain logistics team. Position Overview This position is responsible for performing grain operations activities in the areas of inspection and general operations. Key Responsibilities Perform inspection activities such as weighing trucks, gathering product samples, product testing and evaluating product quality Operate grain handling and receiving equipment; provide customer service to delivery drivers and perform data entry of delivery details Monitor equipment and processes to identify issues; resolve or escalate issues as necessary Operate various types of mobile equipment Perform general housekeeping activities What is expected of you and others at this level Minimal job-related experience Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid Driver license
  • Basic computer and data entry skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous grain operations experience preferred
