About The Position

At Regions, the Diversified and Specialized Industries Analyst serves as the primary analytical support for senior coverage bankers and credit products specialists. This position supports them in the following processes: origination, underwriting, execution, and portfolio management of traditional corporate banking products and services. This includes loan syndications, various capital markets products, and strategic and financial advisory services. Analysts provide these services as part of a client team that also consists of Associates, Vice Presidents, and Directors/Managing Directors. Analysts are expected to split time between the following: supporting pitches and live deal underwriting across the full spectrum of products and services, supporting general advisory assignments, portfolio management responsibilities, and research/analytical support. Analysts typically work for three (3) years before having the opportunity to advance to the Associate position. This position reports through the Diversified and Specialized Industries client coverage and credit products organizations for Regions Bank and Regions Securities LLC. The Renewables Finance team, which is part of the Energy Group in Specialized Industries, is responsible for underwriting and managing Regions’ portfolio of solar and battery‑storage investments, including both direct debt lending and tax equity positions. As a Renewables Finance Analyst, you will collaborate closely with Senior Product Specialists to evaluate new credit opportunities to solar and battery-storage projects at both the construction and operational phases, as well as performing on-going monitoring on existing debt and tax equity projects. You will monitor construction milestones and, for operational assets, track production performance and financial metrics to ensure accurate and timely credit risk assessments. Furthermore, the Renewables Finance Analyst will perform analysis to support various amendments and consents of existing transactions, as appropriate. The position involves direct interaction with clients and client portfolio managers to validate data quality, address operational considerations, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of each project’s and/or portfolio’s performance. This role requires developing strong quantitative credit analysis and financial modeling capabilities, concise and effective business writing, and proficiency in reviewing and interpreting legal documentation. Successful candidates will be highly organized, efficient with their time management activities and willing to perform in a fast-paced and highly evolving industry. This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
