The position is responsible for promoting the safe, effective, and reliable operation and maintenance of the Renewable fleet at the Coffeen Plant in Illinois. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various types of plant electrical, electronic, instrumentation, controls, and electromechanical equipment. This includes working with breakers, battery systems, communication systems, SCADA, and various other devices and control systems. The individual will oversee the overall operations, which includes operating, monitoring, and controlling the status of all power plant systems. They will execute plant shut-downs and start-ups, respond to alarms and equipment issues, and coordinate maintenance activities in alignment with current plant conditions and commercial commitments. Key accountabilities include ensuring strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures related to plant operations and maintenance. The role requires conducting inspections, repairs, calibrations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various types of plant equipment and systems, including electrical switches, lighting, cranes, and electronic equipment such as recorders and communication systems. The individual will also conduct low, medium, and high voltage switching and grounding activities for all plant auxiliary equipment, locate and correct malfunctions of electrical and electronic equipment, and maintain a good working relationship with various teams and vendors. The position demands a proactive approach to maintaining records on electrical and electronic equipment, including inspections and overhaul reports, and updating the maintenance management system (Maximo). The individual will perform routine and emergency maintenance and compliance activities on the plant's electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and control systems, which may include working on weekends, holidays, and scheduled shifts as assigned.
