Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
  • Electrical or I&C disciplines preferred but other relevant disciplines will be considered with pertinent experience.
  • Three or more years of utility-scale renewables engineering experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Company-specific design guidelines and technical specifications for renewable generation and storage projects.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement cost effective updates to renewables project specifications to improve generation and storage productivity and reliability.
  • Assist in the execution and delivery of large engineering projects from development through design, construction, testing, and operation.
  • Fill the role as engineering subject matter expert on due diligence team during early development stages and project selection.
  • Participate in project technical negotiations and discussions with engineering firms, construction contractors, and equipment vendors.
  • Review project design and technical documents from engineering firms and construction contractors for compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify conflicts between project design and specifications and recommend actions to remove and prevent future conflicts.
  • Perform site walkdowns during construction to ensure accurate implementation of project designs.
  • Facilitate resolution of construction and commissioning questions as issues arise.
  • Lead efforts in tandem with renewable energy center operations teams to improve and replace major facility components.
  • Work collaboratively with other Company departments to ensure on time implementation of project support tasks.
  • Research and evaluate new industry developments and best practices to implement into renewable generation and storage standards.
