About The Position

The Renewable Energy Technical Lead at P B Hoidale Co Inc will serve as a key player in the expansion and transformation of our renewable energy offerings. This role requires forward-thinking, innovative individuals with a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy sector, especially with regard to the technical and economic aspects. As a Technical Lead, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and conducting technical feasibility studies, as well as leading the development and implementation of renewable energy projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a relevant field is required.
  • At least five years of experience in renewable energy development, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of a wide range of renewable technologies, including solar, wind, hydro, and bioenergy.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate teams to deliver under strict deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working with technical software and equipment, and familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee renewable energy projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Evaluate project feasibility by conducting site assessments, studying energy consumption outlook, and determining the best renewable technology to adopt.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed project plans, including risk assessments, safety guidelines, and contingency plans.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, providing them with regular updates and incorporating their feedback into project designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and advancements in renewable energy technologies and propose their application whenever beneficial.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and partners, negotiating contracts as needed to support project objectives.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies to acquire necessary permissions and ensure project compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards.
