About The Position

Otter Tail Power Company is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Renewable Energy Specialist (RES) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of our renewable energy assets, ensuring all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company values and policies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment while supporting the reliable performance of our renewable energy systems.

Requirements

• Motivated, self-starting individual with a strong safety mindset
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to develop skills in high-angle rescue, hazard identification and risk mitigation, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, and safe driving in all weather conditions
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
• Proficiency in lockout/tagout procedures for various voltage levels
• Comfort with Microsoft Office products

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with hand tools
• Experience in renewable energy component maintenance
• Electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read diagrams
