About The Position
Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a Renewable Energy Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Tigard, OR. This position is integral to our efforts in designing solar energy battery storage systems (BESS), a critical component of the renewable energy landscape. ECI is recognized as one of the largest providers of engineering and construction services to the renewable energy sector, currently managing over 50 projects nationwide. Our team is responsible for some of the most complex battery storage systems being constructed across the country, and we are looking for talented individuals to contribute to this exciting field. As a Renewable Energy Design Engineer, you will be involved in the conceptualization, ratings, and design of both AC and DC cable systems, ensuring compliance with applicable code requirements and standards. Your role will include optimizing project designs, performing calculations, and creating physical and electrical layouts. You will collaborate closely with other discipline teams, requiring exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to quality and accuracy. The fast-paced nature of our projects demands a proactive approach and the ability to meet tight deadlines. In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will be subject to client-mandated drug and background checks, and occasional travel may be required.
