About The Position

This position will be utilized to perform a specific mix of jobs such as operating different types of cookers, operating forklifts, washing rail cars, grinder attendant and floor clean up due to absenteeism and in-shift absences. Team members will need to be willing to be moved to and be responsible for the rendering positions such as operating different types of cookers, operating forklifts, washing rail cars, grinder attendant and floor clean up. Must be willing to work with supervisors on a one on one basis; interact with hourly team members; and perform other duties assigned by management. Tasks include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting to 75 lbs and reaching above shoulder level. These positions work in a hot, humid environment where temperatures can range to 100 degrees and slippery surfaces.

Requirements

Rendering – must be able to operate several types of rendering machines.
Candidate with 6 or more attendance points and/or any suspension disciplines of file within 12 months at the time of posting will not be considered.
Available to bargaining team members only.
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
