About The Position

The Rendering Operator is responsible for collecting production plant
waste materials (animal carcass remains and non-consumables) for byproduct
recycling. This process prepares the byproducts for conversion into usable goods
such as bone meal and alternative fuel. This position is not directly part of
the harvest or cut process and does not require use of knives. You do have to be
able to work in hot/cold weather environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer to have some Rendering Experience but will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work in an environment with a pungent odor (waste material/carcass remains)
• Ability to work in an environment with a temperature range of 100 degrees to -20 degrees.
• Frequent lift/carry minimum of 50 lbs.
• Frequently stand, walk, and move about the facility.
• Ability to climb and descend from ladders and stairs.
• Ability crouch, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to use shovel and/or scoop.
• Must be able to wear all safety equipment / PPE.
• Must be able to successfully complete STF's training and become certified in: LOTO, PIT, Fall Protection.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
