About The Position

The Rendering General Foreman position is responsible for overseeing the entire Rendering operations at the Ottumwa location. This role requires extensive knowledge of products and technical skills in various production jobs, along with a minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience in the processing plant industry. The foreman will direct supervisors regarding production volume, quality, cost, and adherence to production schedules and delivery dates. Additionally, the foreman will train and develop supervisors to enhance management depth and foster teamwork to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of products.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Bi-lingual helpful, but not required.
• Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of production jobs.
• Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in processing plant industry.

Responsibilities

• Ability to oversee entire Rendering operations.
• Direct supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
• Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and develop teamwork to attain department objectives.
• Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized.
• Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
• Other duties as assigned.
