About The Position

The Renal Specialist Level I will identify the needs and priorities of the dialysis and apheresis patient through assessment. The Renal Specialist Level I plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The Renal Specialist Level I evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The Renal Specialist Level I is accountable for outcomes of patient care of assigned patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
• Current Alabama or multistate Nursing license required.

Nice To Haves

• ICU and/or previous Dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify the needs and priorities of the dialysis and apheresis patient through assessment.
• Plan and delegate care based on patient needs.
• Evaluate the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes.
• Accountable for outcomes of patient care of assigned patients.
• Responsibility of the Dialysis staff to give supporting documentation for Renal Specialist II to the Dialysis Unit Charge Nurse.
