Morrison has more than 1,600 registered dietitians and 1,200 executive chefs, and serves more than 600M meals annually.Job SummaryJoin a talented group of more than 80 Morrison Healthcare dietitians at the University of Virginia Health System in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. At this level one trauma center, dietitians play an integral role on multidisciplinary teams in many specialty areas, both in the 600 bed inpatient setting, as well in over 30 outpatient clinics. RDs participate in research and quality improvement projects, host dietetic interns, and are supported in pursuing leadership and community service experiences. Continuing education opportunities are plentiful from within the accomplished nutrition team and from the health system which values ongoing training and education. We operate 12 outpatient dialysis facilities in Central Virginia Current Opening: Dialysis unit coverage for three small dialysis clinics North of Charlottesville, VA. UP to 40 hours/week with patient load 75-100 patients This position:•    Is a renal RDN in outpatient dialysis facility patients with newest dialysis technology in hemodialysis and potential for Peritoneal Dialysis patient support. •    Includes a team of thirteen RDs in 12 facilities, providing support, education and networking. •    Enjoys working with a comprehensive interdisciplinary healthcare team in a chronic care setting. •    Provides education opportunities for MDs, patients, and other healthcare professionals.•    Encourages growth and professional advancement as part of a dynamic nutrition team with flexibility in covering clinics in a variety of settings.

Requirements

  • Is enthusiastic about renal nutrition, continuous quality improvement and comprehensive individualized plan of care for chronic kidney disease patients.
  • Is able to work well independently, as well as with a team.
  • Has a minimum of one year clinical experience post registration with the CDR.
  • Has a strong interest in renal disease states and clinical nutrition.
