About The Position

The position involves overseeing shift personnel in a manufacturing environment, ensuring adherence to safety policies, managing production schedules, and maintaining quality standards. The role requires effective communication across shifts and with leadership, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement in safety and productivity.

Requirements

• Two to four years of leadership experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Overhead crane and/or forklift experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards in a high-paced working environment.
• Ability to be Valmont trained and certified in operation of forklift.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Six Sigma certification and/or training.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety and quality.
• Familiarity with production data entry and timekeeping functions.

Responsibilities

• Train or arrange training of shift personnel to ensure consistent methods and results.
• Model and enforce established safety policies and seek opportunities for safety improvements.
• Manage the use of equipment and materials to ensure products are manufactured on schedule and within quality and cost objectives.
• Anticipate and pursue product flow proactively to meet daily demands.
• Maintain a clean and orderly production environment for the following shift.
• Communicate daily with all levels of employees regarding safety, quality, and production metrics.
• Facilitate ongoing training and development activities.
