Requirements
- Public Trust Clearance by start date.
- Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) and 4-9 years of related experience.
- Experience supporting industry-standard software products.
- Demonstrated time management and self-discipline as a remote worker.
- ITILv4 Foundation Training and Certification (to be obtained within 120 days after hire).
- Possesses expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
- Ability to work a 24x7x365 on-call rotation schedule.
Responsibilities
- Installing, monitoring, and upgrading UNIX system software.
- Providing support for on-premise and cloud-based systems.
- Creating and maintaining UNIX user accounts and access management systems.
- Establishing standardized backup and recovery policies.
- Applying patches and upgrades according to schedules.
- Resolving hardware/software platform problems in complex environments.
- Analyzing the impact of software changes across functional units.
- Maintaining space utilization statistics and forecasting future needs.
- Implementing systems to proactively monitor infrastructure.
- Making recommendations for hardware and software upgrades.
