The Remote Sensing Technician (RST) acquires airborne and geodetic survey data. RST's collect aerial survey data with topographic lidar, bathymetric lidar, thermal, hyperspectral, geophysical, and multispectral imagery sensor systems throughout North America. RST's collect ground data using GNSS, conventional instruments, and mobile lidar mapping systems. RST’s work closely in a collaborative team environment with a captain in aircraft and helicopters while flying acquisition missions. RST's configure and monitor sensor systems, track acquisition progress, download/process/ship geospatial datasets to production offices.
