About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Regional Data Center Quality Engineer. In this role, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing the implementation of critical control systems in new data center construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that Building Management Systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, PLC systems, and SCADA platforms meet high standards of quality and reliability. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, managing relationships and workflows to foster successful project outcomes. This position requires a strong background in controls engineering coupled with project management skills to drive safety and compliance across all projects.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls programming, project management for large-scale data centers.
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC control systems programming/design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation and building management control systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support the selection and evaluation of General Contractor System Integrators (CSI) and controls contractors.
  • Lead and manage CSI performance throughout all project phases, including quality assurance and resolution of escalated issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for system integrator quality concerns.
  • Onboard and lead projects with General Contractor BMS Leads and Electrical & Instrumentation controls contractors.
  • Coordinate and manage factory-installed controls audits and BMS commissioning audits.
  • Drive consistency and standardization across installations to ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with controls architecture during project development.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess installation quality and provide hands-on troubleshooting.
