About The Position

As a Pre-Sales Security Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering advanced electronic security solutions to clients while shaping project success from design to implementation. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, clients, and subcontractors to create technically robust, scalable, and efficient access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. This role combines technical expertise, pre-sales support, and hands-on engineering knowledge, providing opportunities to influence client outcomes and ensure system performance. You will be involved in reviewing designs, developing solution documentation, and staying up-to-date on emerging security technologies. The position allows for remote work while requiring active engagement in client projects and potential on-site support as needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions are essential.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in electronic security systems engineering, design, or pre-sales support
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Hands-on experience designing and planning access control and video surveillance systems
  • Familiarity with electronic security technology and supporting infrastructure, including software, hardware, databases, and networks
  • Professional certifications or training preferred (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Milestone)
  • Strong technical communication skills, capable of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with occasional on-site client engagement as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering design and pre-sales support for electronic security solutions, including ACS, IDS, FDS, CCTV, and biometrics
  • Review architectural, electrical, telecom, and security engineering drawings, device schedules, and floor plans to ensure proper system design
  • Develop and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, conversions, and repairs
  • Prepare solution design documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and technical summaries
  • Support field teams and internal staff with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and on-site support
  • Assist management in documenting processes for implementing new technologies and client solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging security technologies and leading vendors to advise clients effectively
