In this role, you will be pivotal in implementing physical design solutions that meet industry standards. You will work on end-to-end processes including floorplanning and routing, ensuring that designs meet power, performance, and area (PPA) targets. Your expertise will help integrate various components into cohesive designs, collaborating with teams to maintain timelines and quality. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in ASIC physical design or related semiconductor design roles
  • Proven experience with full-chip or block-level physical design implementation
  • Strong understanding of ASIC physical design flows and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with advanced technology nodes preferred
  • Expertise in Cadence Genus and Innovus
  • Knowledge of Place-and-Route (P&R) methodologies
  • Experience with clocking and clock tree synthesis (CTS)
  • Familiarity with routing and congestion optimization
  • Ability to perform DRC/LVS checking and physical verification

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end physical design implementation, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and signoff
  • Execute place-and-route activities using industry-standard EDA tools to meet timing, power, and area (PPA) goals
  • Perform top-level integration of IP blocks and coordinate physical implementation across hierarchical designs
  • Conduct timing closure, clocking optimization, congestion analysis, and routing optimization
  • Run and analyze DRC/LVS checks and resolve physical verification issues
  • Collaborate closely with logic design, verification, and silicon validation teams to ensure design quality and schedule adherence
  • Support design signoff activities and contribute to tape-out readiness
