About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Patient Appointment Scheduling Supervisor. In this role, you will lead the scheduling operations for a dynamic team of agents, ensuring high-quality service and efficient patient access. You will balance hands-on leadership with operational oversight, collaborating with various internal teams to enhance processes and improve patient experiences. By supporting the call center and scheduling practices, your expertise will contribute significantly to the delivery of exceptional orthopaedic care in your community.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of EHR and PM Systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare-related fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contact center industry with medical/scheduling.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an operations lead role overseeing front-line employees.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and employee development/coaching.
  • Ability to effectively work across cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; listening, verbal, and written.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily call center activities, ensuring adequate queue coverage and timely patient scheduling.
  • Assist with complex patient scheduling issues and act as an escalation point for staff.
  • Maintain and update scheduling tools, preference lists, insurance requirements, and procedure/test workflows.
  • Monitor call and scheduling accuracy and support correction of errors when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Workforce Management on staffing needs and schedule adjustments.
  • Provide daily support to team members, including coaching, mentoring, and real-time feedback.
  • Assist in new hire training and ongoing skill development.
  • Promote employee engagement and recognize performance achievements.
