The US Oncology Network is looking for a Remote Patient Advocate Coordinator - Dallas, Tx to join Texas Oncology Foundation, Inc. Some travel, up to 15%, may be necessary and weekends. What does this position do? Under general direction, the Patient Advocate Coordinator oversees the day-to-day management of patient assistance programs, including financial aid, transportation, lodging, and parking support. The position spans four core areas: program administration (managing and coordinating all assistance programs and the approval committee process), documentation & data (maintaining patient files and tracking/reporting program outcomes), collaboration & outreach (working with local grant facilitators and social workers), and compliance & stewardship (monitoring program balances, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvement). Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communication or related field
  • Or
  • Associate’s Degree + four (4) years of related work experience
  • Or
  • High School diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years of related work experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years prior experience inpatient benefits coordination, financial assistance program or related social or healthcare support role is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Requires sitting for long periods of time.
  • Some bending and stretching are required.
  • Adequate finger dexterity and feeling to perform keyboarding and substantial repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Requires vision and hearing corrected to normal range.
  • Must be able to view computer screens and printed material accurately.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar donor/grant management database systems is a plus; willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all patient financial, transportation, lodging and parking assistance programs
  • Oversee the assistance approval committee process
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient assistance files and documentation
  • Track, compile and report program data and outcomes
  • Collaborate with local grant facilitators/local social workers
  • Monitor program balances and assist with fund stewardship
  • Ensure program compliance and process improvement
