About The Position

We are currently in search of a dynamic and goal-driven Outside Sales Representative based in San Francisco or surrounding area to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in enhancing our sales pipeline by conducting daily outside sales calls within the Bay Area and feeder while working remotely. In this role, your primary focus will be on identifying and bringing in new business, taking clients to contract, and transitioning accounts to our remote and on-site team for execution. This position does not entail group or event servicing but rather emphasizes the identification and procurement of new business opportunities. Primary Objective: The Outside Sales Manager position is a field sales position responsible for driving business in a defined, geographic territory through both new business development and existing business growth strategies. Enhance revenue streams from guestroom bookings, meetings, and events while bolstering market dominance over rival hotels in comparison to Dawn Ranch. Target market segments encompass weddings, social gatherings, corporate meetings, and retreats.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Must possess proven interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and possess a clean DMV license.
  • Possess a proficient understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office 365 for effective communication and documentation.
  • Utilize your proficiency in working with third-party platforms such as San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, Visitcalifornia.com, etc. to enhance Dawn Ranch's online presence and drive leads.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proven track record in outside sales, with a strong emphasis on generating new business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with adept presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with the corporate environment and ability to identify key decision-makers.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to navigate and adopt general computer knowledge, with relevant tools and platforms.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • At least 5 years of related experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Event Temple CRM a plus but not required.
  • Existing network in the San Francisco Bay Area corporate market is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess prospects within the sales territory, maintaining a steady pipeline to achieve sales targets.
  • Expedite prospects through the sales cycle by delivering exceptional sales and customer service experiences.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in sales and client databases.
  • Stay abreast of recent market trends and developments through participation in local and industry meetings.
  • Engage in negotiations with prospective and current clients to finalize sales agreements.
  • Focus on outside sales to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive business development.
  • Travel as required to attend and/or represent Dawn Ranch at trade shows, aimed at bolstering sales initiatives, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering business expansion.
  • Identify key decision makers within target companies, schedule in-person presentations, and effectively close new business to further enhance Dawn Ranch's market presence.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of San Francisco, Bay Area and other feeder market trends.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and establish new accounts.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports and maintain accurate customer data to drive future sales strategies using the provided sales systems.
