Requirements

Juris Doctorate required; PhD preferred.
Three years of experience in higher education within the last ten years.
Expertise in the subjects taught.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Familiarity with online teaching technologies and best practices.
Ability to engage and motivate students in an online setting.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned paralegal and some criminal justice courses online.
Prepare course materials in Blackboard by designated deadlines.
Provide 12-14 hours of instruction per week, facilitating discussions and grading.
Respond to student inquiries within 48 hours.
Update grade books weekly and provide detailed feedback on assignments.
Participate in faculty meetings and professional development.
Utilize active learning strategies and support diverse learning needs.
