Your next challenge: keep the world’s clean energy moving Imagine arriving at a nuclear plant before sunrise. You review procedures, lay out tools, and bring a critical crane back online with a precise calibration—safely, methodically, and with pride. By evening, your report’s filed, stakeholders are aligned, and the unit stays on schedule. If this sounds like a day you’d own, join Westinghouse’s FHE Outage & Maintenance Services team. Remote-first: Work from anywhere in the U.S. and travel extensively (about 60–70%). You’ll report to the FHE Outage and Maintenance Supervisor. How you’ll make an impact Execute field work on nuclear fuel handling equipment and outage-critical cranes: installations, setups, inspections, calibrations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Prepare by reviewing procedures, maintenance plans, and drawings; adhere to qualified processes with zero compromises on safety or quality. Partner with engineering and training: perform equipment modifications, test and qualify processes, set up mock-ups, and capture data that drives improvements. Log equipment performance issues with accuracy and ensure corrective actions are validated prior to next use. Invest in your craft through recurring training and certification maintenance; keep pace with evolving technologies and standards. Work under general supervision while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and documentation discipline. Model “Safety First,” sustain clean work areas, and uphold Unescorted Access requirements at nuclear facilities. Collaborate across teams and with customers; communicate daily/as-needed status to the service supervisor; operate safely around hazardous materials while traveling frequently.
