The Modernization Program Change Management Lead at West Virginia University will oversee all change management activities for the Modernization Program. This role serves as a key liaison between the Modernization Program Director, program workstream leads, and functional stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and engagement throughout the organization. The position emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive change management strategy to facilitate user adoption and minimize resistance, ultimately driving business results.

  • Create and implement a comprehensive change management strategy that minimizes end user resistance and maximizes engagement.
  • Support the development of a standard change management methodology, including processes, work products, KPIs, and reporting.
  • Coordinate change management and communications resources across the Modernization Program workstreams.
  • Establish and manage change management performance targets, reporting regularly on key metrics.
  • Maintain active, two-way communications to engage stakeholders and seek actionable feedback.
  • Address and arbitrate escalated issues and resolve competing priorities to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Identify functional dependencies across workstreams and ensure cross-functional awareness of these dependencies.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement in a continuously changing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, communications, or related field.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in enterprise-level transformation change management.
  • Master's degree
  • Significant experience leading enterprise-level transformation change management in higher education and/or health care.
  • Significant process improvement experience.
  • PROSCI certification and/or significant experience in change management.
  • 37.5-hour work week
