About The Position
As a Remote Benefit Verification Specialist- Pre Registration at Community Health Systems - Shared Services Center, you'll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, and building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve. This position is fully remote and full-time, requiring 40 hours of work per week. The orientation period is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CST for approximately one week. Following orientation, training will occur Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST for about three weeks. After training, the normal working hours will shift to Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm CST. In this role, you will maintain a working knowledge of patient estimate portions via an estimation tool and perform outreach to patients prior to their scheduled appointments to verify patient demographics and notify them of their patient responsibility. You will also provide professional, accurate, and timely Pre-Registration functions, ensuring a high level of customer service while maintaining effective communication with patients, physicians, and facility representatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for securing acceptable financial arrangements, processing payments within a web-based application, and documenting all account activity in the applicable host system. Maintaining performance standards and ensuring the department operates at peak proficiency while consistently meeting established goals is also a key responsibility.
