Requirements

  • Must be licensed to practice independently in ANY state; Psychologist, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW.
  • Must have PsyPact in addition to state license for Psychologists.
  • Must have either a master's degree in social work, counseling or related field or a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited program.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing therapy independently.
  • Preferred experience providing therapy to veterans and military members.
  • Experience in providing consultation about mental health diagnosis and appropriate treatment plans.
  • Familiarity with the full range of DSM5 clinical presentations and experience with associated brief, evidence-based psychological intervention.
  • General knowledge regarding mental health assessment and treatment.
  • General knowledge regarding Substance Use Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
  • Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of thorough risk assessment and mental health crises procedures.
  • Experienced in one or more Electronic Health Records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States.

  • Experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
  • Experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills training.
  • Training related to the management of suicide risk.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and group interventions to support patients coping with health psychology presentations related to mental health diagnoses.
  • Provide cognitive screening to address specific functional and/or cognitive ability questions.
  • Provides immediate access to clinical assessment and appropriate collaborative care and treatment for those experiencing mental health symptoms or behavioral health issues.
  • Must independently complete thorough psychosocial assessments to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of the patient and their families.
  • Must possess a working knowledge and experience in use of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures.
  • Follow suicide prevention guidelines and risk assessment documentation and training requirements.
  • Completes thorough psychosocial assessments and includes pertinent information in all required areas of functioning.
  • Provides a DSM diagnosis to determine the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and/or their families.
  • Provides emergency/crisis interventions to stabilize patients and develops crisis management plans.
  • Provides psychotherapy as individual, group &/or family interventions when clinically indicated.
  • Maintains knowledge of Veteran's benefits and services, community resources, and processes for making appropriate referrals.
  • Provides case management services to the patient and their families throughout the continuum of care.
  • Adheres to the clients regulations regarding documentation and completion of encounters.
